This is what Orkut blog has to say on it's new feature. Now you can add html in your scrapbook. Orkut allows you to add images, flashes, animations and videos.This is great feature as it allows to cover boring scraps into colourful & wonderful means to communicate.

But there are somethings that you need to know

• You can send html only to your friends.


• Html cant be larger than 1024(max size of scraps).


• You can add photos, albums, videos, flash embed, podcast/audio, animations.



• Orkut accepts the following file formats for images: .jpeg, .gif, .png or .bmp



• Video & photos from any video or photo site like You tube, Google Video etc is allowed.



• Picasa, Flicker and other albums and slide can also be displayed.



• If your html tag ,(a tag looks something like this < tag_name> eg:- <>) contains tags like "iframe", "table" and other tags related to these are not allowed.

To send any Rich text/HTML. just visit your site and get code. Most sites have option like "ADD T0 Your Blog/Site" clicking on this you will get the required code.Now copy the HTML code and use it in your scraps.

As far as images are concerned orkut has added a new option called "Add photo" below the scrapbox. This allows you to directly upload the photo or add the link of photo. This will be diaplyed as image.

Cool Scrap

Orkut offers only one style/font it would have been great if it gave us several fonts options. At mx you can make it bold or italics. As far as colour option are considers there are several options but you need to enter some code to be able to do so.But no more

There is a Greasemonkey add-on for firefox. Called as Stylex. It gives several options

Make Buyukkokten as your community moderator

What if you could make Buyukkokten as your Community moderator or even the orkut admin as your moderator . Sounds Exciting?. Jerry has the trick developed by Rushan Malik .

There seems to be a bug in orkut and this script exploits this bug in orkut . Using this script, you can add any one as the moderator of your community without them having to accept it. You can even use it to add yourself as the moderator of your communities.

How to Use this Script?

• Open your Commnity Profile Page
• Now, Edit the Script given below with your Community ID that is cmm=ID
• Similarly, Edit memberid = the profile ID of the person you want to add as moderator

Change your orkut album

Rahul of Devils Workshop has developed a cool Greasemonkey add-on for Firefox .Rhis makes navigating through your photo's a brease. This is developed on Ajax, an advanced form of java.This script divides your album into two sections . On the Left a thumbnail of your are visible in scrollable vertical column. In Right side the larger image of the selected pic gets displayed .

How to use it :

• Launch the application.
• Log in to your orkut account.
• Now move to the mass adder tab and choose "Adder @ work tab".
• Now enter the ID in the first box.
• Now Select - Capture ID's option
• After all ID's have loaded in the list, Save the list
• Now Choose Load Saved list option
• Finally click add profiles option.

THIS allows to do a lot things in one page. As the name suggests you can surf orkut , check scrapbook, use gtalk, use yahoo msngr, check your yahoo mail all at the same time.
All this things can be done in one single page. In addition to this you can surf the web too using Google search.

This has one problem once you log in you will be redirected to orkut.com now you have go back to that site(pressing back won't work) either by using history or press the arrow ▼ next to "BACK" now select the "ORKUT 3 in 1". Now you have to press refresh till you are able to see your Orkut Scrapbook & homepage(with logged in ) or you get page cannot be displayed now press on "GO BACK TO PREVIOUS PAGE" .

There is one more problem you wont be able to view any photos sent to yahoo mail.It just shows text & no photo/video.

I think this will work best only for India just like Orkut launched rkut Brazil for Brazilians .This could be Indian orkut.

Vijay's Flodding Machine

Vijay's Flooder is a cool flodder. It works quite similar to other flooder's. As the name says it's a flodder, flodding machine it will flood. This increases your scraps by 1,000. Normal javascript or java scrapbook flodders allow only 200-300 per profile but flodding machine allows upto 1,000 per profile. Same is the case with this one . But Plz be careful while flodding using a flodding machine . Always use a fake account to flood as your accound may be disable.
