Send mails from other id's in Gmail

Gmail has a great feature you can have a diffrent sending address.Let me explain it to you.
Say you have 2 id's

"Orkuttricks@ gmail.com" and "Googlehacks @gmail.com"

Now you need to send a mail to someone with the "From id as GoogleHacks " while you are logged into "Orkuttricks " account.Gmail allows you to do this with some settings. You can do this from any mail hosts like Yahoo/Msn/Hotmail....

To display another email addresses in the 'From:' field just

  • Click Settings
  • Select the Accounts tab.
  • Click "Add another email address" in the Send mail as section.
  • Enter your email address and name that you'd like to send messages from.
  • Click "Next Step"
  • Click Send Verification to complete the process.

Gmail will send a message to your other email address . You'll need to click the link in that message, or enter the confirmation code in the Accounts section of your Gmail account, to complete the process.

Although you can send mails from a diffrent id you can't receive reply / mails from that account it in your gmail account. Although you could use Gmail fetcher to read mails from that id.

Your Gmail address will still be included in your email headers in the sender field, to help prevent your mail from being marked as spam. Most email clients do not display the sender field, though some versions of Microsoft Outlook may display "From customaddress@domain.com on behalf of yourusername@gmail.com
