What if you wnt to mail tthe same message to a group of your friends .It's time consuming since you need to stlest type some char of the id.Gmail lacks friend list.But threr is a trick

Although Gmail doesn't currently support Groups in your Contacts, you can simulate a Group list by doing the following:

1. Create a new Contact

2. In the "Name" field, enter the name of your Group (eg "My Friends")

3. In the "E-mail" field, enter your list of email addresses in the following format:

"friend1@gmail.com>,<_friend2@blah.com>,<_friend3@foo.com> "

There should be no spaces in the string. Be sure NOT to include a leading "<" or trainling ">" as Gmail will add them while sending mail.
