Google Buys Dogeball

Google has acquired dodgeball.com. Does this mean Sergey, Larry, and Eric soon be out there promoting dodgeball games around the world? Nope, Google has forayed into the mobile social-software business.

dodgeball.com is currently available in U.S. cities .This company has been around for about 5 years. It allows you to find other dodgeball.com users via SMS. Dodgeball.com helps you to meet-up with friends, make new friends, etc.

It was founded by Dennis Crowley. In this users check in with text messages announcing where they are. Then, because dodgeball maintains a database of hundreds of nightspots in each city, anyone on a user's friends list who is within 10 blocks gets a message that his or her pal is nearby.

It's unclear that why Google brought .May be they want to get a share in what is going to replace computers "MOBILE". This internet leader is thinking of the future.
